By accessing or using FamilyPlate at familyplateapp.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

FamilyPlate is a web-based meal planning application that helps households plan daily meals, manage pantry inventory, and generate forwardable meal plan messages. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate meal suggestions based on household preferences and constraints.

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent
• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account

You agree to use FamilyPlate only for its intended purpose of household meal planning. You must not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Use the Service to generate or store content that is harmful, abusive, or violates applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data

FamilyPlate uses AI to generate meal plans and recipe suggestions. Please note:

• AI-generated meal suggestions are for informational purposes only
• You are responsible for verifying that any generated meal plan is appropriate for your household's specific dietary needs, allergies, and health conditions
• FamilyPlate does not provide medical or nutritional advice — consult a qualified professional for medical dietary requirements
• AI suggestions may occasionally be inaccurate — always exercise your own judgement before serving any dish to family members with severe allergies or medical conditions

FamilyPlate attempts to respect dietary restrictions and allergies entered by users. However, we cannot guarantee that AI-generated meal plans will be free from allergens in all cases. Users with severe or life-threatening allergies must independently verify all meal suggestions before consumption. FamilyPlate accepts no liability for allergic reactions or adverse health events arising from use of the Service.

• FamilyPlate and its logo are our intellectual property
• Meal plans, recipes, and content you generate using the Service belong to you
• Recipes extracted from third-party sources (Instagram, PDFs) remain the intellectual property of their original creators — FamilyPlate facilitates extraction for personal household use only

We aim to keep FamilyPlate available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from Service unavailability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FamilyPlate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to meal planning errors, dietary advice, or data loss.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version will always be available at familyplateapp.com/terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
